Summer Reading 2019

Summer is a great time to go on adventures, be curious and read about what sparks your interest. Or, Summer is a great time to relax, kick back and read for pleasure. Lemonade please.

Below are links to several reading programs and resources to help your child (ren) dive into summer reading.

Public Library Summer Programs

Hennepin County Library Summer Learning : Book clubs, arts and crafts, science, games, book lists and drawings for free tickets to events for children and teens.  * See below for a flyer on summer programs and events at North Regional, Sumner and Webber Park Libraries.

Reading Programs

Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Journal : Read any 8 books, complete the journal, and get a free book from Barnes and Noble.

Maud Hart Lovelace Book Award / Minnesota Youth Reading Awards : Next year Hall will participate in the book awards where students in grades 3-5 read selected books and vote with other students across the state for the best book. Get a jump start by reading one or all of the nominated books this summer.

PDF Hall Stars Summer Wacky Reading Challenge   --  Complete as many of the Reading Challenge as you can during the summer. Bring the signed sheet to Ms. Parker the first week of school for a prize.
