Kyriacos Hadjiyiannis, Physical Education Teacher
Portrait of Kyriacos, P.E. Teacher Mr. K

My name is Kyriacos Hadjiyiannis (Coach K) and I’m very excited to be the Physical Education teacher at Elizabeth Hall International. I was born and raised in Minneapolis, went to Minneapolis Public Schools, and I still live in Minneapolis (less than 4 miles from Hall, so I will ride my bike).

I attended the University of St. Thomas, where I received my bachelor’s degree in K-12 Physical Education. The 2019-2020 school year will be my 5th year as a Physical Educator. The previous four years were spent working in Spring Lake Park and St. Paul, however, it has always been my dream to teach and give back to the students in the MPS school district.

My passions include sports/athletics and working with youth. I will bring tons of positive energy into the gym and I can’t wait to meet my students and starting building strong and positive relationships.

In Coach K’s P.E class, students can expect to laugh, smile, grow, make mistakes, try new things, give their best effort, set goals, improve cardiovascular and physical strength, train their brain, understand why physical activity is important, learn about healthy eating, be challenged, be leaders, work individually and in groups, learn new skills, improve the skills they already have, treat others respectfully, and last but not least, HAVE FUN!
