Outdoor Recess Policy

Cold weather has arrived!

Be prepared for outdoor recess!

Elizabeth Hall recess policy states that children will have outdoor recess if it is above zero degrees by temperature and wind chill factor.  Children are outside for 20 minutes.  We believe fresh air helps children concentrate better in the afternoon.  Recess is also a time for children to learn a new game and play with their friends.

All children will participate in outdoor recess unless we receive a note from a physician, stating a medical reason why the student cannot go outside.

Remember jackets, hats, mittens, gloves, scarves, and boots!

MPS Supports Dreamers
MPS Supports Dreamers

We know many MPS employees, students and families are experiencing fear, uncertainty, anger and disappointment as a result of the White House decision on Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. Please know you can come to work or school and receive the same support and educational services as always. Our role is not to ask about citizenship or immigration status. Our role is to educate students.
