Where We Are In Place and Time

Our unit Where We Are in Place and Time is an inquiry into orientation in place and time; personal histories; homes and journeys; the discoveries, explorations and migrations of humankind; the relationships between and the interconnectedness of individuals and civilizations, from local and global perspectives.

Our central idea is throughout history people have used transportation to move themselves and materials.  Our lines of inquiry are: *Different modes of transportation are used for different purposes. *Transportation has changed over time. * Different cultures develop different kinds of transportation.

This unit will be taught March 5-through the week of April 20th.
